Head of Customer Success
Marketer.com is looking for a Head of Customer Success to build and lead its CS function from the ground up.
About tRole
Marketer.com is the leading AI platform for e-commerce brand owners worldwide who want to scale smarter and faster than humans are capable of alone. The platform automates and optimizes advertising campaigns across Meta and Google, integrating directly with Shopify to deliver real-time performance insights. The team is small, highly entrepreneurial, and focused on measurable results — built for people who take high ownership and move fast.
What You'll Do
Build the Customer Success function from scratch, including onboarding workflows, engagement models, and retention playbooks
Own and manage the company's highest-value accounts personally, ensuring strong retention and satisfaction
Identify and close expansion revenue opportunities within existing accounts
Define KPIs, reporting frameworks, and success metrics for the CS organization
Act as the primary feedback loop between customers and the product team
Hire, develop, and manage a growing CS team as the business scales
Represent the customer's voice at the executive level internally and externally
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves
Built or co-built a Customer Success or post-sales function from early stage, or founded or co-founded an organization or team, regardless of outcome
Scaled a team or function from 0 to growth stage, not only managed a mature CS org
Player-coach track record: personally win, close, and manage key accounts while building and leading a team
Deep e-commerce and paid media fluency required, including ROAS, CAC, Meta, and Google
Commercial ownership: consistently find, pursue, and close expansion and upsell opportunities, not only relationship management
Operate effectively with ambiguity and rapid change; make decisions with incomplete information
Explain a multi-layer AI and data product clearly and credibly; not limited to using software
Comfortable reporting directly to the CEO and contributing in senior product and strategy discussions
HARD NOs (automatic disqualifiers):
HARD NO: You need pre-existing process or structure to operate. This role starts from zero and requires self-direction and building from scratch.
HARD NO: You are a pure enterprise operator from large, mature organizations and have not built from early stage. We need a builder, not a maintainer.
HARD NO: You want a slow or gradual onboarding. This role requires immediate hands-on execution from day one.
Nice-to-Haves
Founding, co-founding, or early-stage build experience, even if the venture did not succeed
Prior experience working with Shopify ecosystem brands or e-commerce agencies
Experience owning KPI frameworks and building reporting infrastructure from scratch
